Plays media continuously

Noticebox is a media drop-box. It plays video and stills that you copy to it over your network by FTP. If your Noticebox machine is not plugged into the network you can also update its content by either CD or USB memory stick.

Noticebox plays the following media types:

• A wide variety of video formats: mpeg, divx, xvid, avi etc.
• Live video from capture card
  
• Still images such as jpegs, pngs, gifs
• Websites
• RSS news feeds
• VNC desktop
• Flash/swf (optional)
  

If you have more than one Noticebox you can 'chain' them together by telling one Noticebox to copy its content from another.

Noticebox is an Ubuntu-based operating system that installs in minutes from a CD.
